We’re starting the new year with a bang

The year is off to a powerful start at Apollon, and we’re excited to share a wave of new singles, fresh videos, and preorders for upcoming albums you won’t want to miss. Whether you collect vinyl or prefer to save your favorites on streaming, now’s the time to dive in.

Bellefolie — Beautiful Madness

Beautiful Madness is the debut album from Norwegian alt-pop artist Bellefolie, blending raw intensity with poetic clarity.

With a voice that is both fragile and powerful, Bellefolie channels the wild openness of Norway’s west coast alongside the sharp elegance shaped by years in Paris. Her name translates to beautiful madness — the untamed human truth beneath polished surfaces.

The focus track “Modern Apathy” captures the emotional overload of our time — not indifference, but paralysis. Shimmering rhythms, playful synths and layered vocals create a warm yet overstimulated soundscape that feels unmistakably now. This is an album about presence, about feeling again.

Toy Weather — Feathers (LP)

Toy Weather is the project of Bergen scene legend Svein Hovland, known from bands like Gjennomslag and Blind Date.

Inspired by the adventurous spirit of Van der Graaf Generator, Toy Weather blends aggressive and mellow rock with psychedelic, experimental and classical elements. Influences from David Bowie, David Sylvian and XTC add warmth and accessibility to the exploratory sound.

Originally released digitally in January 2025, Toy Weather’s sophomore album quickly became a favorite among music lovers — and the demand for a physical release has been overwhelming.

VALP — Svulstige kjærlighetsbrev til surfekromatikken, vin og Bach

The long-awaited second album from Stavanger-based band VALP marks a bold step into darker, more expansive territory.

Rough guitars, striking drums, melodic vocals and rap collide in a dynamic, unpredictable sound firmly rooted in rock. Each track functions like a separate letter, inspired by the album’s title — from social responsibility on “Dysania”, to the light and dark sides of alcohol on “Vin”, and the paralyzing loneliness of the ballad “Vekk meg.”

Bold, emotional and uncompromising, this album is a powerful new chapter for VALP.

Poor Bambi — Skyscrapers Soaring, Yet We’re Drowning

Formed in Stavanger in 2020, Poor Bambi has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new acts in Norwegian noise rock.

After touring Norway, playing major festivals and even performing in New York, the band now presents their debut album. Built on raw energy and immersive textures, Skyscrapers Soaring, Yet We’re Drowning captures both the soaring highs and introspective lows of modern life, driven by heavy guitars, urgency and emotional depth.

A defining release from a band on the rise.

Danakil Safari — From The Soil

Danakil Safari is a Norwegian quintet inspired by ethiojazz — Ethiopian music shaped by American traditions with deep African roots.

Named after the unforgiving Danakil Depression in northern Ethiopia, the band channels desert heat, volcanic tension and hypnotic grooves into music that’s dark, sinister and irresistibly fun. Murkier than Mordor and far warmer than Oslo, this album is a journey through shadowy rhythms, heavy atmospheres and seriously good times.

Format: LP · Black Vinyl
Release date: 20 February 2026
