Norwegian instrumental rock band Pymlico is back with a brand-new single ahead of their highly anticipated album Core, set to release on May 9, 2025, via Apollon Records Prog. The single, which showcases the band’s signature sound, marks the first taste of the raw, energetic direction the band is taking with this new project.
Following their successful 2022 album Supermassive, Pymlico has been hard at work crafting a new musical chapter. For Core, the band decided to focus on their current seven-member lineup, a move sparked by a conversation on the way home from their standout performance at Festival Crescendo in France. Keyboardist Øyvind's vision to maintain the same lineup for the next record quickly gained momentum, and the result is an album that’s bolder, fiercer, and more collaborative than anything the band has released before.
This new single is a perfect example of the band’s evolving sound – rawer, more organic, and packed with the melodic grooves and powerful solos Pymlico fans know and love.
