Sister Sonny is back — in spirit, sound, and slightly skewed humor. The Demonstration Tapes, a new project from Pedro Carmona-Alvarez, Lars Heintz, and Fredrik Færden, reunites three members of the beloved Bergen band with an idea as bizarre as it is brilliant: write one song for each U.S. state and release all 50 in 2026, just in time for America’s 250th anniversary.

Originally sparked by what the band calls Fredrik’s “rather silly idea,” the project embraces their ’90s-born love of nostalgia, absurdism, and anti-glamour. But when their first EP dropped in spring 2025—just after Trump’s return to the White House—the concept took on unexpected shadows. They jokingly considered renaming themselves Bad Timing Production and even floated the idea of a scrappy documentary titled It Wasn’t Us, We Just Sing.

Despite the political weirdness surrounding the project, the heart of it remains simple: make music together again. And with creative constraints proving inspiring, they’re now approaching the full 50-song mark.

Today, they’re releasing the first 14 tracks as their debut album, First Amendment—the first in a planned series of five LPs exploring their mythical, imagined America. Early EPs have already picked up BBC airplay, championed by Mickey Bradley of The Undertones.

Expect indie rock. Expect pop. Expect crooked, charming oddities that sound exactly like the trio at their best: silly, sincere, and unmistakably themselves.

Adventure’s self-titled 2000 debut is being reissued, newly remastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo. Originally praised for kickstarting a new wave of Norwegian prog, the album blends influences like Camel, Kansas, and Uriah Heep with touches of folk. Formed by multi-instrumentalist Odd Roar Bakken alongside Terje Flessen and singer Vebjørn Moen, the band crafted a symphonic, hard-edged prog sound over a five-year recording process. The reissue highlights a unique project that set out to honor classic symphonic prog while adding a distinctly Norwegian hard-rock character.

Mystery packs!

We have to make some room for our upcoming releases, so we're getting rid of all the leftover promo CDs which has accumulated during the past 10 years.

Some of these are only CDs in a plastic sleeve, some are CD+booklet, and some are CDs in a printed cardboard sleeve. 10 different promos in each package - pre-packaged randomly, sorted by genre (sort of). A great chance to discover some music you wouldn't normally be exposed to.
