"Because" is the first single from eie’s upcoming debut album My Tongue Is Stuck To The Roof of My Mouth And That Is All I Can Think About! The song addresses a dark and highly relevant topic: women’s right to control their own bodies and sexuality.

The entire lyric, from start to finish, describes so-called "arguments" used to defend and undermine the seriousness of rape culture. No matter the situation, there will always be people who find a way to blame the victim. This is the issue Eie aims to bring attention to, and they do so with noisy instrumentation, intense delivery, and hard-hitting lyrics.

"Because" is a confrontational cry told through distorted guitars and brutal vocals. Since the band’s first concert in 2023, the song has become a fan favourite and will finally be available both digitally (and very soon) in physical format!

Performed by Emilie Eie (vocals, electric guitar), Harald Harestad (electric guitar), Anna Klungre (electronics, synth, backing vocals), Ariel Aarstad (bass), and Andreas Mikkelsen (drums).
The song, like the rest of the album, was recorded at Komet Sound Studio in Stavanger. Recorded and mixed by Espen Eidem, and mastered by Steven Grant Bishop.
