Moonwraith is a hard rock band from Oslo, Norway. With heavy riffs, driving grooves and a dark, atmospheric sound, the band invites listeners into a mythical universe inspired by folk tales and occult stories.
The band consists of Anna Jæger on vocals and lyrics, guitarist and producer Ole Øvstedal, who has produced albums for artists including Darkthrone and Sovereign, bassist Olav Vikingstad, also known from Dunbarrow, and drummer Reidar H. Lund of Gravy Jones.
Together, they have created a distinctive sound that balances the raw power of hard rock with the weight and atmosphere of stoner rock.
Through a string of live performances, Moonwraith has built a solid reputation on the underground scene, appearing at many of Oslo’s rock clubs and underground venues. Until now, their music has primarily lived on stage – the songs have evolved through live shows and been shaped through their encounters with audiences long before making their way into the studio.
Now, Moonwraith are finally releasing their debut album. The recordings capture the same raw energy that has established the band as one to watch on the live scene, delivering a unique heavy sound where melody meets sheer weight.
