Laughing Stock – Life in Seven Dreams
Life in Seven Dreams is the seventh album in seven years from Laughing Stock — a suite of seven new songs woven together like fragments of a dream. Created during a challenging and deeply personal year for band members Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen, Håvard Enge, and Jan Mikael Sørensen, the album reflects both beauty and darkness, moving between fragile moments and intense emotional landscapes.
The songs are connected by a haunting recitation of Edgar Allan Poe’s A Dream Within a Dream, performed by Colin Bass (Camel).
The album also features guest appearances by Tim Bowness (“Not Today”), Bjørnar Kristiansen (Dwaal), and trumpeter Terje Johannesen. Produced and mixed by Jan Mikael Sørensen, mastered by Jacob Holm-Lupo, with artwork by Jan Erik Kirkevold Nilsen.

Bladverk – Monumental Thrill, Monumental Chill
Bladverk makes its debut with Monumental Thrill, Monumental Chill — a lush and cinematic album where 12-string acoustic guitar flows through atmospheric, gently progressive soundscapes and silk-soft dual vocals. Think David Crosby and Nick Drake meeting Jaga Jazzist: warm analog textures, shimmering keys, sacred-toned choirs, and intricate fingerpicked melodies balanced between calm and tension.
At the center is guitarist and composer Henrik Schmidt (MesaVerde, Synne Sanden, Shimmering), joined by producer and drummer Lars Fremmerlid, whose subtle guidance opens new sonic spaces. Guest appearances include Håkon Kornstad on saxophone, alongside Jørgen Apeness (vibraphone) and Jonas Lundekvam (keys), adding rich textures and depth throughout.
Instrumentals lead the journey, with vocals appearing like fleeting thoughts — creating a quietly powerful album where atmosphere and emotion take center stage.
